Pewter

Every Glover and Smith bee box is handmade from polished, solid lead-free English pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely nickel-free and food safe.

Because our designs are all created in solid metal, the surface of your bee on honeycomb box will never flake like a silver plated bee box. To clean, simply wash with warm soapy water.
