Each Glover and Smith heart pendant is handmade from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead content in old pewter) and is guaranteed nickel and allergen free. We use Sterling silver chain and jump rings for their strength.
Because we use solid metal the surface of your heart necklace will never flake like a silver plated necklace. To clean just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver components. All our designs are made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
