A plaque on the underside of the lid can be engraved with a personalised message. We can fit up to 33 characters or spaces onto the plaque (3 lines, 11 characters or spaces per line) and it's up to you what you want!

What colour is real moonstone?

Moonstones range in appearance from semitransparent to opaque and colourless to white, with a blue, silver, or white adularescent effect. Moonstone body colours vary widely. They can be green, yellow to brown, or grey to nearly black.

We have chosen Peach & Pink: These warm hues range from pale cream to deep peach and orange, usually paired with a white or silvery glow.

White pearl is also available on request (use the comments box to specify this when ordering).

Moonstone is believed to have a calming effect on emotions, promoting inner peace and harmony. This gem is often associated with the divine feminine and is believed to enhance feminine energy and intuition. Moonstone is also said to have a soothing effect on the body, helping to alleviate stress and promote healing.

Dimensions: The box is 50 mm (2 inches) in diameter and 25 mm high (2 inches). Our makers marks are on the under-side of the box body.

Lead-Free Pewter

Our moonstone birthstone box is hand cast from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead content in old pewter). Our 95% tin Pewter is the fourth most expensive metal in common use after platinum, gold and silver. Because we use solid metal, it means the surface of your moonstone box will never flake like a silver plated box. To clean just wash with warm soapy water if necessary. All our designs are completely nickel-free and made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
