We can fit up to 18 characters or spaces onto the plaque on the underside of the lid and It’s up to you what you want! The proverb "Great oaks from little acorns grow" is engraved on the underside. We engrave the central panel.

The oak leaf is 15 mm (5/8 inch) wide, the acorn's diameter at widest point 8 mm (same as a button, i.e. usable and practical). The Christening keepsake box is 5 cm (1.9 inches) in diameter and comes, with the rolled certificate, in a black presentation gift box.

Pewter
All Glover and Smith designs are made from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (caused by the lead in old pewter). Because we use solid metal the surface of your little acorns cufflinks and box will never flake like silver plate. To clean just wash with warm soapy water. All our designs are completely nickel-free and made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
