All Glover and Smith designs are made from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and are guaranteed nickel and allergen free. We use Sterling silver chain and jump rings for their strength. Because we use solid metal the surface of your sycamore and oak leaf necklace will never flake like a silver plated necklace. To clean just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver components. All our designs are made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
