All Glover and Smith designs are made from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and are guaranteed nickel and allergen free. We use Sterling silver ear hooks for their strength. Our 95% tin Pewter is the fourth most expensive metal in common use after platinum, gold and silver. Because we use solid metal the surface of your oak leaf drop earrings will never flake like silver plated earrings. To clean just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver components. All our designs are made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
