Lead-Free Pewter
Our pink opal birthstone box is hand cast from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead content in old pewter). Our 95% tin Pewter is the fourth most expensive metal in common use after platinum, gold and silver. Because we use solid metal, it means the surface of your pink opal box will never flake like a silver plated box. To clean just wash with warm soapy water if necessary. All our designs are completely nickel-free and made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
