All Glover and Smith designs are made from solid polished lead free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead in old pewter) and completely food safe. Our 95% tin Pewter is the fourth most expensive metal in common use after platinum, gold and silver. Because we use solid metal the surface of your squirrel spoon will never flake like a silver plated spoon. To clean just wash with warm soapy water. All our designs are completely nickel-free and made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
