Our 95% tin Pewter is the fourth most expensive metal in common use after platinum, gold and silver. All Glover and Smith designs are made from solid polished lead-free pewter which is non-tarnishing (that was the lead content in old pewter). Because we use solid metal the surface of your necklace will never flake like a silver plated one. To clean, just wash with warm soapy water and occasionally use a silver cloth on the silver components. All our designs are completely nickel-free and made exclusively by us in Wiltshire, England.
